What emerging research is revealing about gaps in pastoral formation. Senior leaders care deeply about their teams. They are trying to disciple, support, and develop healthy pastors and staff through conversations, counseling, coaching, resources, and leadership pipelines. Yet many still wonder what actually helps leaders become mature and sustainable. Drawing from Blessing Ranch Ministries’ decades of care for Christian leaders, recent UCI research with more than 2,200 ministry leaders, and qualitative interviews with pastors, this breakout explores what is happening beneath the surface of pastoral leadership and what God may be inviting churches to notice now. Participants will leave with a practical framework for forming leaders who are honest, teachable, resilient, courageous, dependent on Christ, and able to last.
