The eye of Hurricane Florence passed directly over Conway, South Carolina. Praise God, it had been downgraded from a category 4 hurricane to a category 1 when it did. The monstrous storm crept at a speed of 3-5 miles per hour dumping more than 11.1 Trillion gallons of water on the Carolinas. That’s equivalent to handing every person in America 218,114 water bottles.

After the wind calmed, there were flash floods, that gave way to river and waterway flooding that finally saw the floodwaters crest on the 28th of September. Hurricane Florence has long been out of the news cycle, but the waters still flow and stand in houses, buildings and on roads that remain closed. People haven’t been able to get to work in weeks. Schools have been unable to take students for as long.

The Rock Church hasn’t been able to hold services either for two straight Sundays, but Lead Pastor Josh Finklea and the staff at The Rock are busy everyday bringing life to the people of Conway and surrounding communities. There is a lot to do, everyday. The aid that people, families, and the community will need for weeks and months to come is staggering.

The Rock Church can use the help of your church and leadership as they seek to lead a movement and impact their community and region for Christ.

"Our goal as a church is not just to help people with relief. We we want to restore these families and restore this community. But we can’t do it on our own. We need your help."

The Spire Platform will eventually work to quickly connect network leaders to other leaders in areas that are experiencing emergency response needs. Josh and The Rock can use your help. Are you close enough to send a group of workers to volunteer to mud houses? Could your church send volunteers to work at a food bank or help distribute supplies through the partner organizations already in position, but in need of workers? Over the next 30-days, the waters will recede, the mold will begin to appear and homes will need restoration and renovation. How can your church help The Rock remain a shining light on a hill in their community and region? Could you send help or resources to
